Mooring Park – Port of Long Pond

Jul 20, 2016

The Long Pond Harbour Authority Inc. (LPHAI) enjoys a continued strong relationship with the stakeholders of the Port that include residents, government and industry alike. As the Port is shared by the above LPHAI stakeholders, LPHAI continues to move forward with its long term strategy to ensure safe and considerate operations to those who use this facility.

It is important for all users to understand, that The Port of Long Pond is privately owned and operated by LPHAI who carries complete financial responsibility and liability for activities within its jurisdiction.

To that end, as part of this development, LPHAI has spent considerable resources on a well-defined engineered mooring plan, and engineered mooring blocks. With complete liability for the operations within the Port, part of this mooring plan will be to remove any and all other existing moorings.

We would like to invite all owners of boats that have an interest in mooring within the Port, to please contact me at 749-0722 in order to reserve a mooring block. This will be on a first come first serve basis.

The LPHAI have set a deadline of 5:00 pm, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 for owners to remove existing boats that are currently moored within the Port of Long Pond, who are not registered with and attached to an authorized mooring block.

We look forward to working with the recreational boating community during this transitional period.
